League Games will be played on weeknights and some Saturdays. Teams will typically begin practice in early April as weather allows, with games usually starting the last week of April or first week of May. Practices and home games are played at River Park or Valley Park. Away games are played at Schnurbusch Park in Conklin or Jackson Pond Park in the Town of Binghamton.
* Summer Sports *
~ 8U Softball & Baseball Summer All-Star Tournament Team
~ 10U Softball & Baseball Summer All-Star Tournament Team
~ 12U Softball & Baseball Summer All-Star Tournament Team
All-Star Teams are formed based on the available numbers, proactiveness of volunteer coaches, and the desire by players and parents to field competitive teams. Reach out to the KYSR Supervisor if a Team is desired to be formed and put together.
All-Star Team Rosters are formed purely by recommendation in collaboration with the KYSR Supervisor and the regular season Head Coaches of the age eligible players for each All-Star age level. Tryouts will no longer be held - it is our belief that a singular tryout may not accurately portray a players capability and that a more aggregate season-long view is most representative and appropriate. The Teams formed will compete in 1 to 3 local All-Star Tournaments in the June/July timeframe while periodically holding practices. If numbers and interest allow, multiple teams at an age level may be formed and can enter tournaments in A, B, or C divisions.

~5th/6th Grade Boys & Girls Recreational Basketball

Games are played relatively locally with other teams in the league both home and away. There are opportunities to enter more competitive leagues or tournaments as well at the conclusion of the recreational season, dependent on numbers and desire from players and coaches. Reach out to the KYSR Supervisor if a Competitive Team is desired to be formed and put together.

The Season is broken into (2) Sessions that are typically 10 Games each, and is played at 434 Sportsplex in Vestal, NY with games primarily held on Saturdays, and sometimes on Sundays for the U10 and U12 levels.
