Overview of Responsibilities

The Kirkwood Town Board is a vital part to the success of an ever-growing town.  The dedication of the Town Board to the town and its residents is evident in their work.  The Town Board is responsible for:

1. Representing our Constituency efficiently and effectively.
2. Present fair and reasonable yearly budgets.
3. Be accessible and responsible to the Town and its’ residents.
4. Liaison and manage all Town Committees:

Goals of the Board

The Kirkwood Town Board works to provide the best for the Town of Kirkwood.  Currently they are working on:

• The Extension of the Public Water and Sewer Facilities
• Exploring additional affordable Senior Housing
• Maintaining and assuring the quality of Kirkwood’s Youth Programs
• Developing a Senior Citizen Center

Lew Grubham - (607)775-4686

Lew is a lifelong resident of Kirkwood.  After Graduation from Broome Community College Lew worked with numerous construction companies before starting his own General Construction Company in 1971.  His business has grown into a successful and well-respected operation among local Architects, Engineers, and Customers.  This experience has provided Lew with a great background in business and working with the public.

Bob Weingartner - (607)775-5047

Kirkwood has been home to Bob since his family moved here in 1968.  He attended B.C.C. and graduated with honors from SUNY Cortland where he earned a B.S. in Education and M.S. in Health Education.  Bob began his teaching and coaching career at Susquehanna Valley in 1986.  He is currently an elementary Physical Education Teacher at S.V.  Bob's greatest joy is his family.  He and his wife Jackie certainly have their hands full raising their three young sons, Robby, Brady, and Bryant.

Linda Yonchuk - (607)775-1061

Linda is a life-long resident of Kirkwood.  After graduating from SUNY Albany with her B.A. in Social Studies and M.A. in Education Linda began teaching Social Studies at Windsor High School in 1972 and retired in 2007.  Linda works with hundreds of students on a day-to-day basis, and is very highly respected by her colleagues.
